Tantra for women - your path to inner freedom

How does tantra help women?

Women turn to tantra for a wide variety of reasons. The main themes are self-knowledge, finding an inner compass, experiencing wholeness or spirituality, managing menopausal symptoms, intimacy, dealing with life changes or blockages, relaxation, releasing tension or depression.

Such questions/demands arise:

  • I seem to have everything, why am I not well?

  • I find myself in repetitive life situations, why?

  • I can't find a suitable partner.

  • I want to improve my relationships.

  • I want to see more clearly in my life, I want to make better decisions.

  • I want to finally accept and love myself.

  • Breakups, divorces, menopause, and separation from children take their toll.

  • I feel constant tension/have periods of depression.

  • I want to connect more deeply with myself and my sexuality.

  • Self-awareness therapies did not bring the expected results.

  • Maybe I have unresolved traumas.

  • I have difficulty or no orgasm.

  • I want deeper and more diverse orgasms, etc.

Most women are still more concerned with the happiness and mental balance of others than with their own. In theory, we may even know that in order to be good friends, colleagues, partners, or parents, we first need to be well ourselves. Yet we cannot afford the luxury of taking time for ourselves. It is a tragic dichotomy that we do not consider ourselves worthy of our own attention, while gallantly giving our energies to others.

Sure, we can immediately see how selfish we are... but in the end, why aren't we "good"? As women, others have unfulfillable expectations of us anyway, so at least we can see more clearly and decide what we use our own resources and lives for.

Many people only start looking inward when they face some kind of life crisis, burn out, or become ill.

That's how it was for me, life forced me to learn about myself. After many years of therapy, family planning, and more, I reached a point where I couldn't go any further. It seemed like I had processed everything and reached the best possible state. When I enrolled in an international tantra school, somatic tools seemed to have entered my life as if into a vacuum.

I was almost 50 when such prospects opened up before me that previously would have been too beautiful even for a dream. For example, I always searched for the feeling of just dissolving in a connection, to be carried away by a flowing feeling, or another person. To experience joy not only on the physical level, but also for my soul to find peaceful satisfaction. I also experienced firsthand that the blocks stuck in the body have to be worked out from the body, it is not enough to “talk them out” or write them out of ourselves.

The good news is that working with the body doesn't require thinking. In fact, you don't need to think. Changes simply happen when we can be present in our bodies and allow the body's self-healing mechanisms to work.

In Tibetan tantra, the body is sacred, the Buddha himself, with all the wisdom within it, for example, for healing. We just have to let it happen, just listen to what it has to say to us. Even better news is that if we can reconnect well with ourselves, it will affect all areas of our lives.

We often hear from guests that they see their goals more clearly, are better able to maintain their boundaries, and are able to give much more and in a different quality to others since they have better appreciated themselves and their abilities.

Several of our guests come from the field of helpers, specifically as organizers of women's communities. Yoga teachers, self-knowledge coaches, dance instructors, trainers. The interesting thing they have in common is that although they know how to be in their bodies well, they still separated their sexuality from themselves at some point. They functioned well for a long time, but after a while this separation became uncomfortable, they no longer felt "authentic" in their own lives or in the way they helped their female clients. Tantra gave many of them the strength and motivation to find this missing wholeness within themselves.

The other good news is that tantra does not require any prior studies, it doesn't matter where you are in your self-knowledge or how old you are. You can start at any time. We have a 75-year-old guest who feels like he has finally "found" himself. As long as we breathe, it is never too late to make our days better. There is also a 25-year-old who is lucky enough to have been able to shed some mental burdens at such a young age and thus be able to make better decisions about his life.

I wholeheartedly recommend neotantra massage to those who want to take the shorter route. This is easily acceptable for Westerners, and means a couple of hours of massage every 4-6 weeks, as needed, which is mostly a liberating, uplifting experience. Neotantra always removes only as many layers of difficulties as we can bear on that particular day, it is effective and even pleasant.

For women, it has a special power. When we are in the hands of a female tantric masseuse, sensuality appears differently than when we connect with male energy, and a goddess awakening to each other or the dance of female supportive energies on a sisterly or maternal level often develops.

The tools of traditional tantra require more energy, here we teach meditation, movement, communication, and self-massage in the form of 4-6 sessions of counseling. This requires more home practice, but often results in more intense and cathartic changes. This will soon be available with us in the form of individual and group workshops.

If you are curious, come to a women's circle or contact us directly.
